Editing Services

After graduating from University, I wanted to help authors achieve their writing dreams. I wanted to apply the technical knowledge I’d learned over the previous three years and enable others to produce outstanding works of fiction (and non-fiction).

I’ve worked in a wide range of genres with a variety of authors over the years. Here are a few highlights:

*the Amazon URLs for each book are affliate links

**not included in this feature list: Jenny O’Brien and Valerie Keogh. Two brilliant authors who have landed themselves publishing contracts with Harper Collins and Bloodhound Books since working with me.

I help authors find their voice, hone their craft, and build confidence in their writing, and have given public talks on these topics too.

Specialist subject

Crime fiction is a tricky genre to get right. It requires attention to detail, fast pacing, good characterisation and -most important of all – unpredictable twists.

I studied crime fiction at university, have worked with incredible crime writers over the years and am an avid reader. Crime fiction is my specialism. I know how to bring it to life, how to keep readers turning the pages, and how to keep it on the right track.

While I can – and do – edit a variety of other genres, crime fiction is definitely my forte.

Alongside my Creative Writing degree I’ve completed courses with The Writer’s Bureau and other establishments.

I’m also Editor-in-Chief for the B2B publishing platform Insights for Professionals where we produce articles and eBooks for our global audience.

The reason why I started editing was to help Indie authors achieve their dreams. I wanted to offer affordable services that didn’t break the bank. Alongside my full-time job (I’m a B2B marketer by day), I wanted to create a space where authors would still get a top-notch service without breaking the bank.

Having worked with Natasha on several of my thrillers, I can safely say she has a solid understanding of genre tropes, a sharp eye for detail, and is a ninja at spotting inconsistencies in terms of language, plot, and character. Her editorial work plays a key role in elevating my stories to new heights, and I can’t recommend her enough.

I’ve been working with Natasha for a few years, and have loved every minute of it. Her attention to detail and brilliant suggestions always make my manuscripts shine. She improves my writing without stifling my voice, and makes my novels the best they can be. Her eye for detail and her fantastic memory are another part of why she is such a great editor. Natasha is efficient, fast and lovely to work with, and I wholeheartedly recommend her services.

Sarah Peis

I have just finished my third book and have used Natasha as my editor for all three. I have no hesitation in recommending her, particularly on the developmental aspect as her intuitive view is a great balance to an author’s natural tendency to run on. Natasha works with the author, allowing their natural style to remain whilst giving a steadying hand to guide while not crushing individual style. She is always on hand to discuss and support, constantly going the ‘extra mile’.

Simon Fairfax

Natasha carried out a structural edit on my book. She was friendly, approachable and communication was great. The job was done quickly and efficiently with detailed analysis. Her advice and encouragement gave me the confidence to take the next step and publish, once the amendments had been made. I would recommend her to any writer, especially one like me; just starting out. Thanks Natasha.
